Governments must not mislead the public about SARS-CoV-2 vaccines safety. The current vaccines are not safe, and governments should maintain consistency in identifying products, services and activities as safe or not.
It is not prudent to identify a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine that has caused death and injury safe whilst identifying activities such as using a telecommunications device whilst driving as unsafe. These have equally caused death and injury, and there is a likelihood that vaccines have been deadlier. However, one is deemed safe whilst the other is not.
Consistency and accuracy in government communication is essential for public confidence and public policy implementation. Therefore, governments must be accurate with the information they provide despite the negative implications.
